Welcome to the Integration Information Library for Chase Paymentech's Orbital Gateway.
Chase Paymentech has created an overview of Credit Card processing with our Orbital Gateway system. This guide is designed to assist
merchants in understanding Credit Card processing in relation to the Orbital Gateway. Please note that this guide is only applicable
to merchants using the Orbital System.

Managed Billing is a module of Chase Paymentech's Orbital Gateway that gives a simple, convenient way to collect payments automatically and on a regular basis. Through this value-added service, recurring, installment, or deferred billings are easily processed on a flexible pre-determined schedule. The supporting optional services of scheduled comprehensive reporting and automated email notifications to cardholders are also available.

The Chase Paymentech API uses XML to make e-commerce payment requests using HTTPS. This integration requires the merchant to develop
code that generates XML formatted message requests, and receive XML formatted responses. The use of XML allows platform and
programming language independence. These downloads include the full XML specifications and the associated schema structures.

The Orbital Gateway offers an XML based batch processing interface. This integration requires the merchant to develop code that
generates XML formatted flat files with message requests. These files can be sent via S-FTP over the internet or FTP via Frame/Dial
PPP. Response files with XML formatted response messages can be retrieved later via the same method. This functionality allows for
Multi-Merchant batch processing of up to 999,999 transactions per file.

The Orbital Gateway offers a Web Service [SOAP] processing interface. This integration requires the merchant to support the Orbital
Gateway Web Service as defined by the following WSDL.

Chase Paymentech, in an effort to assist our customers in reducing development time and costs, has built SDKs in Java, COM, .NET [1.1
and 2.0 Framework], C++, and Perl. These SDKs will manage the creation of the communication protocol as well as the generation of the
XML requests and interpretation of the XML replies. Each SDK has user documentation contained within the download as well as being
available separately for easier and quicker reference later on if needed. NOTE: The COM, .NET and windows version of the C++ are
available via two bundles [one for the run time libraries and another for the source code]. The customization for the particular
desired implementation is managed through the installation application.

Chase Paymentech has two processing platforms that the Orbital System communicates with, known as the Tampa and Salem platforms. Each
platform has unique features and functionality. Each platform has its own certification processes and certification teams. Below are
links for downloading certification requirements for each system. Please contact your technical consultant or certification analyst for
assistance identifying which platform you will be processing on.

The Orbital System consists of two components, the Orbital Gateway and the Orbital Virtual Terminal. All merchants that have a Gateway
account have automatic access to a corresponding Virtual Terminal. In order to assist merchants in using the Virtual Terminal, Chase
Paymentech has created two user guides. The first is a simple Quick Reference Guide, designed to be a desktop reference to the Virtual
Terminal. The second is a comprehensive User Guide. The User Guide explains in detail all the features and functionality of the Virtual
Terminal.
